Fosters are the heart of rescue. Thank you for stepping up! Please be patient while we review applications.

The purpose of fostering is to get an animal out of the shelter and into a safe home environment where they can decompress, get healthy (if not already healthy), and then work on basic skills while looking for a forever home. It's ok if you work and the animal will be crated most of the day; that is still better than a loud, scary, overcrowded shelter! Too many good animals are euthanized every single day because the shelters are out of space. Fostering really does save lives!

What animal would you like to foster?

What is your experience fostering? It is okay if this is your first time!

If you rent or live in an HOA (or on a military base), what are the pet / animal restrictions? Is the animal you are applying for cleared to live there? Has it been approved by the landlord?

Do you have a fenced yard and/or a pool? Please explain. How tall is your fence? What material is it made from? Have you had any animals escape this yard before? Is the pool secured? Does it have a safe way for animals to escape if they should fall in?

What other animals live in the house or at the property? Are the other pets indoor/outdoor, what are the ages and temperments of the other indoor pets?

Are your other animals spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, and bordatella; and the equivalent required feline vaccines?

I, the foster, agree to present myself and my foster animal in a clean and professional manner when attending adoption events or taking my foster animal out in public. My clothes will be clean, and I will try to wear my Arrow's Landing T-Shirts when possible for events. My animal will be bathed, healthy, and free from any parasites, worms, or sicknesses of the like when attending adoption events. I will not jeopardize the health of my foster or other animals that we come in contact with if I think my animal is possibly ill. I will not foster more animals at one time than I can safely manage, to include allowing for proper quarentine space and time if needed. I understand that Arrow's Landing is a professional organization and I will be kind and respectful to others, even they are not the same to me, while attending events on behalf of Arrow's Landing. If I should have an issue with another person involved in Arrow's Landing, I will address my concerns to the board memebrs and trust them to handle the situation with integrity. I am applying to be a volunteer for Arrow's Landing Animal Rescue and acknowledge that I will not be paid for my time volunteering.

Hold Harmless:

The foster releases Arrow's Landing Animal Rescue, and any volunteers associated with the rescue, from all legal claims that may arise from the animal in the future. The foster, or any executor for the foster, may not sue or file legal claims against Arrow's Landing Animal Rescue for any circumstance caused by the animal while in the care of the foster. This hold harmless agreement extends to any friends, family, or other visitors to the fosters residence or anyone the foster introduces their animal to at events or other public places. By signing this agreement, fosters acknowledge the potential risks associated with saving animals from shelter that have unknown histories or potentially unknown behavioral issues. All fosters, and anyone in the foster home, must be aware of the risks involved with any animal interaction. *

I understand that I am voluntarily signing this contract and I agree to all the above conditions of the contract. I certify that all information on this contact is true. The Foster expressly agrees that the releases and indemnity agreement are intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by law.

The Foster agrees that in the event that any clause or provision of this agreement shall be held to be invalid by any court of jurisdiction,

the invalidity of such clause or provision shall not otherwise affect the remaining provisions of this agreement. This is the entire agreement

between parties and supersedes and other verbal or written statements, representations or promises.
