The animal listed above is being transferred to the adopter listed above, effective on the date of this contract.

The new owner will be responsible for the animal and treat the animal with love and care.

The new owner will be responsible for any medical or food expenses related to this animal upon adoption.

The adopter will feed the animal at least twice a day and provide fresh water at all times.

The adopter will not leave the animal unattended outside without proper water supply.

The animal will live inside the adopters home and not be isolated from the family. When outside the dog will be contained and safe in a yard or on a leash; the dog will not be left to roam unattended.

The animal will never be chained in a yard for extended periods of time; it will not be kept in a garage, shed, or similar area.

The animal will not undergo any cosmetic procedures or surgeries unless it is for the health and well--being of the dog. This includes; dogs ears will not be cropped, dogs tailed will not be docked.

The adopter will take the animal to their preferred vet within 30 days of adoption for initial exams.

The adopter will provide all recommended and required veterinary care items to include rabies vaccines, appropriate preventative vaccines, appropriate flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and appropriate treatement for any injuries or illness the dog may sustain in its lifetime.

The adopter will maintain compliance with city and state laws for pet licensing.

The adopter agrees to help train the animal basic obedience skills or work with a trainer to provide the skills as needed. No inhumane training methods are autorized. No shock collars, homemade muzzles, prong collars, or other harmful methods of submission based training are authorized.

The adopter agrees that they will not give away, sell, or trade the animal, even as a gift to friends or family without the express consent of the Arrow's Landing Board members.

The adopter will not dump or abandon the animal, or take the animal to an animal shelter without first contacting the Arrow's Landing Board members.

If the adopter needs to rehome the animal, they will first contact Arrow's Landing to seek a foster home. They must be willing to care for a dog for at least 14 days after notifying Arrows Landing.

Adoption fees are non-refundable donations to Arrows Landing. Refunds for specific circumstances are possible.

If a animal is lost of stolen from the adopter's home, they will immediately contact Arrow's Landing for assistance.

The adopter has read and understood all the above contractual rules.

I promise to treat you humanely and with ethical care.

I promise to allow you time to settle into your new home and understand that this is a big change for you.

I promise to keep you groomed with appropriate nail trimming, bathing, and brushing.

I promise to be patient and tolerant as you learn and grow.

I promise to keep an appropiate fitting collar with identification tags on you whenever we leave the house.

I promise to provide medical and emergency care for you whenever you need it. I will not let you suffer.

I promise to love you forever.
